Christians were first known as “followers of The Way.” Though often maligned and persecuted, historical writings indicate that early followers of The Way were also respected for their set apart generosity, love, and standards of living that sought to align with the character and heart of Jesus.

We all want to find the way… the “best way” to be successful, happy, healthy and relate to God and others. But when we are honest, the ways we’ve tried don’t always lead to this elusive destination- perhaps because The Way doesn’t lead to a place, but a person…

It’s a New Year. Every one of us gets to choose- anew- the way we want to go. The way we choose will either lead to more stress, discord and exhaustion or to more joy, peace and deeper connection to God and others. This year, will we dare to humble ourselves and pray for God to show us The Way?
