Romans 8:28 is one of the most often quoted verses in the whole bible, for good reason. Paul assures the early followers of Jesus that God can work for the good, in ALL circumstances.

For Paul, Love was not an abstract concept, or fickle feeling. Christian Love had definition and practical application.

For Paul, the good news began and ended with love. Though other priorities and positions mattered, they were all noise if love was not the endgame.

As Paul brought the good news to people in a culture of distorted, disordered, and temporary loves, he proclaimed the good news of a preeminent love, that surpasses and outlasts every other.
