Pastor Adam & George discuss the general topics that the class wanted to review. They discuss the “Intermediate State”, “Judgment Day”, and “Talking about Death with Non-Believers”.  Many Bible references are included to support the concepts shared.

Pastor John & Pastor Tim discuss death and funerals:  How do pastors help families with dying loved ones?  How are funerals set up?  What’s the most memorable funeral you have ever led?  Through it all we here the Good News of eternal life through Christ Jesus.

Sergeant Clayton Nolting, coroner and city police office, joins Pastor Adam to talk about working in a profession that deals with death regularly. Clayton shares how his faith plays a major role in handling death.  He also gives an interesting perspective on the death of Jesus.

Melissa Clark, LCSW, social worker at St. Peter’s joins George to share how parents and loved ones can help kids deal with loss in general, but death specifically.  George then teaches on how death entered our world with the Fall. Both Melissa and George point to our hope in Jesus, but our need to have support from people around us.

Pastor Tim Carter, Director of Life Care at St. Peter's, joins George to share his conversions from atheist prison guard to caring pastor.  He shares that God is able to change even the hardest hearts and has forgiveness for all.  His time on death row has helped him to provide compassion to those whose loved ones have died.

Rory Glick, funeral director at Barkes, Weaver, Glick, joins George to discuss caring for the body.  Rory shares how his job helps people to grieve when losing a loved one.  George uses the account of Jesus’ burial to show that our bodies do matter, and that ultimately, God will raise our bodies to eternal life.

Amy Dager & Molly Jenkins, nurses at Our Hospice in Columbus, join George to discuss helping families and individuals cope with death.  They share the resources and goals of Hospice - medical, emotional, and spiritual - as well as how their Christian faith has helped them and blessed others.

Pastor John and Pastor Adam share our theology on Death and Resurrection using 1 Corinthians 15 as a framework.  Many other Bible passages are quoted to show that because of Christ the bodies or Christians will be resurrected to enjoy the new earth in the presence of God forever.

Pastor Adam and George introduce the Bible group topic of Death and Resurrection. Included is an overview of the schedule, an icebreaker involving a trivia quiz on various media focused on death and resurrection, and a definition of basic terms.
