The good news is not a message we speak from the outside in, it is a message that is shared as lives are shared. The power of the gospel isn’t merely in the words we speak it's when our actions reflect the words of life we share.

1 Thess 2:1-16

When our faith is lived out in our everyday lives then people notice the choices we make, they see the compassion they become aware of the grace we show and they observe how we live in the good times and in the challenging. Faith that is sound doesn’t always need words.

1 Thess 1

Of all the people who could hear this announcement of Gods own Son being born why are the shepherds included? What do we learn about who God is as his very own Son enters the world in a most ordinary way.

Luke 2:8-20

We see in scripture that angels are sent to bring messages from God to people. What is the message the angels bring to Mary and those who are privileged to witness this most extraordinary event?

God announces the birth of his Son in the heavens. Those who were watching and waiting got to witness the arrival of the Messiah. The gifts the men brought were not your average baby gifts but gifts fit for Jesus.

Matt 2:1-12

Mary is chosen to carry the child that will come and redeem the people. But why Mary? Who is Mary and why does God make this choice? God in his wisdom selects this woman to be a significant person in the salvation plan of the world. 

Luke 1:26-38

A disciple actively seeks out biblical teaching and wisdom regarding God and his plans in order to apply it in their life.

James 1:22

A disciple joins God in His mission to change the world for good with the life giving message of the gospel and their life changing presence.

Galatians 5:13

A disciple believes God can use them to introduce God to others.  Those who call Jesus their saviour believe that Jesus is the most wonderful gift and blessing an individual or community could receive.  When Jesus tells those that would follow him to go and make disciples throughout all the world it is not seen as a command but as a privilege.

1 Peter 4:11

A disciple is interested in being with God and allowing Him to have a profound impact on their life through a strong personal relationship with Him.
