What does real faith look like as we step into a new year? In the first Springs Church gathering of 2026, Pastor Michael Petillo delivers a bold and challenging message from Luke 14:25–27, calling believers to a “full send” kind of faith—one that refuses half-commitment and embraces true discipleship.

Jesus makes it clear that following Him is not about adding God to our plans, but surrendering every agenda entirely. Discipleship disrupts the normal expectations of life, calling us to come to Jesus not for what He can give us, but for who He is. He is not a tool to achieve our dreams—He is the treasure Himself.

Pastor Michael unpacks Jesus’ startling words about “hating” even our closest relationships, showing that Christ is calling for a love so deep and real that every other love pales in comparison. This is not about emotional hype or religious routine, but an intimate, lived-out love that outshines family love, friendship, ambition, and even self-preservation.

Finally, the message points us to the only place this kind of faith and love can be found: the cross. By picking up the cross daily—remembering that Christ loved, forgave, and moved toward us first—we find the courage to surrender fully, trust God completely, and follow Jesus without reserve.
