(James 3:2-10) - God's desire for us to love one another well includes an intentional use of our mouths to bless others, not hurt them. - Exodus 20:16

Exodus 20:15 - "You Shall Not Steal" (Luke 19:1-10) - Many forms of stealing are subtle. No one may ever know except God, but He promises to reward what is given (and taken) in secret.

(Matthew 5:27-28) - God requires purity in all of our relationships. Jesus equated lust with commiting the act of adultery. - Exodus 20:14 -

(Matthew 5:21-22) - Jesus not only fulfilled the requirements of the Law for us, but also raised the standard of the Law in His own teachings. Murder begins in the heart as hatred and unforgiveness, and Jesus sets us free from these destructive forces. - Exodus 20:13

Honor is a choice of attitude. When we honor our parents, we bring pleasure to God and He will bless us as a result. - Exodus 20:12

God modeled His desire for us to rest when He created the world. Resting for the sake of noticing who God is and recognizing what God is doing in and around us is essential for abundant life. - Exodus 20:8-11

(Deuteronomy 28:58-59) - Recognizing who God is demands awe and reverence. Our identity as God's people who bear His Name is marked by obedience to His Word. - Exodus 20:7
