Hebrews 7:1-10

From one Old Testament figure, Melchizedek, we are reminded that you and I don’t serve a dead King, but one who is alive, who is ruling and reigning in all power and authority. And likewise, we do not have a high priest with term limits because he gets old and has to retire. Our High Priest is the High Priest, forever mediating, forever interceding for His people.

Hebrews 6:13-20

The time we live in is filled with uncertainty. So much anxiety about the present and the future. All the variables, all the “what if’s” swirling around in our hearts and minds, it can feel like we’re in a little boat caught in a big storm. We need to have our hearts anchored, reminded of the unwavering, sure and steadfast hope we have in Christ – not only in our salvation, but in every aspect of our lives.

Hebrews 6:4-12

Can a Christian lose their salvation? Can we stray so far away from God that they can never be redeemed? In one of the most sobering warnings in the Bible, we also see one of the most beautiful encouragements revealing how we can know for sure that we are followers of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

The purpose of the spiritual gifts are to glorify Jesus (point to something greater than us), and secondly, to edify (or build up and encourage) the church.
