How am I to receive from a pastor? It probably doesn't just happen or there would be more mature Christians? What does the enemy do to get pastors to not do what God assigned them? So much more will be answered as we look again at the ministry of the pastor.

Why is important for a believer who is not a pastor, to know what a pastor is commissioned to do and what are his biblical responsibilities? First, as with anything that is God given, the expectations have become corrupted and people in church expect their pastor to live up to a man made list of duties. These seem good, but they are not what God told them to do, so by doing them the things commissioned are ignored or given a lesser place and the church suffers. Second, the pastors pick up a burden that God didn’t give them, so it’s heavy and laborious and wears out the person standing in the office. Third, if those who make up the church know what to expect from the pastor, they will know better what and how to receive what God has purposed.
