3) Your watchfulness and prayers will guard you.(v. 37-42)

4) Your prideful prayerlessness will dishonor you. (v. 43-52)

Reflection: Will you be prideful and prayerless like Peter, or humble and prayerful like Jesus?

Main Idea: Humble prayerfulness fuels Christlike obedience.

Big Idea: May the people of God be faithful when structures we trust fail and fall.
Jesus is in ultimate control. (v. 1-4)

Opposition is not a sign of failure; God remains sovereign. (v. 5-23)

The crucified Christ is over all things and coming back (v. 24-27)

Be on guard and stay awake; this is a posture command. (v 28-37)
