  • Waiting in the In-Between
    Waiting in the In-Between
    Luke 2:51-52
    • One of the most challenging places in life is the “in-between” moments.” It is that place where patience is required and choices are tested.
    • 51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. ~Luke 2:51-52

If we don’t live our lives in the in-between there are two potential outcomes:

      A. We could miss what God’s doing

In one of his “in-between-times,” David wrote: Psalm 27:13-14 “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord” (Amplified).

      B. We can negate what God’s doing

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. ~Romans 12:2 (NASB)

Three Challenges for Living in the In-Between:

      1. Wherever You Are, Be There

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” ~Romans 5:1 (NIV)

      2. Don’t allow the Hurriedness to be your priority in your life.

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” ~Psalm 46:10 (NLT)

      3. God's purposes are found in the in-betweens of life.

“Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love.” ~Ephesians 4:1-2 NKJV
      • “Your “in-between times” are moments where God can build something new, fresh and something wonderful
      • For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

      • Mother's Day 2024
        Mother’s Day 2024
        Luke 1:26-38

        1. You’ve got what it takes

In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, 27 to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. 28 Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” Luke 1:26-28

        2. God has an amazing plan for your life
        • God is not trying to hide his will for us from us
        • Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” 34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” Luke 1:29-34

How can we know God’s will for our lives?

          a. The Spirit of God
          • It is impossible to live the life Jesus wants us to live without His Holy Spirit
          • The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.  Luke 1:35
            • The Holy Spirit does not make you weird or weak
            • As Samson and his parents were going down to Timnah, a young lion suddenly attacked Samson near the vineyards of Timnah. 6 At that moment the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him, and he ripped the lion’s jaws apart with his bare hands. He did it as easily as if it were a young goat. But he didn’t tell his father or mother about it.  Judges 14:5-6
              • You’re stronger than you think by the power of The Spirit of God
              • b. The Word of God
                • The Spirit of God and The Word of God work together
                • When it comes to God’s Word, are you open to His instructions?
                • What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. 37 For the word of God will never fail.” Luke 1:36-37

                  3. You are going to make it through this

Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her. Luke 1:38

                • Filled by His Amazing Grace
                  Refueled Week #4
                  Filled by His Amazing Grace
                  Genesis 16:1-5; 17:1-2; 21;1-7

But Sarai was unable to become pregnant and had no children. Genesis 11:30

Then the Lord said to him, “No, your servant will not be your heir, for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir.” 5 Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” Genesis 15:4-5

Three things that drain us of our joy:

                  1. When we listen to people who do not listen to Jesus, we can lose our joy.

Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had not been able to bear children for him. But she had an Egyptian servant named Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, “The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal. Genesis 16:1-2
                  • Be very careful of using the standards of your life to judge other people
                  • The enemy knows what we’re going to wrestle with, so that is the thing he will tempt us with
                  • So Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar the Egyptian servant and gave her to Abram as a wife. (This happened ten years after Abram had settled in the land of Canaan.) 4 So Abram had sexual relations with Hagar, and she became pregnant. But when Hagar knew she was pregnant, she began to treat her mistress, Sarai, with contempt. 5 Then Sarai said to Abram, “This is all your fault! I put my servant into your arms, but now that she’s pregnant she treats me with contempt. The Lord will show who’s wrong—you or me!” Genesis 16:3-5

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life. 2 I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.” Genesis 17:1-2

                    2. We are drained of joy by our self–doubt

“Where is Sarah, your wife?” the visitors asked. “She’s inside the tent,” Abraham replied. 10 Then one of them said, “I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife, Sarah, will have a son!” Sarah was listening to this conversation from the tent. 11 Abraham and Sarah were both very old by this time, and Sarah was long past the age of having children. 12 So she laughed silently to herself and said, “How could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master—my husband—is also so old?” 13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18:9-14
                    • Your situation is not impossible!
                    • 3. We are drained of joy when we refuse to take steps of faith

It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise. Hebrews 11:11

The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. 2 She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. Genesis 21:1-2
                      • You are not powerful enough to stop the work of God
                      • And Abraham named their son Isaac. 4 Eight days after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised him as God had commanded. 5 Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. 6 And Sarah declared, “God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. 7 Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age!” Genesis 21:3-7

                      • Fighting to be Full
                        Refueled week #3
                        Fight to be Full
                        Genesis 13:11-13; Genesis 14:11-16

Lot chose for himself the whole Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants and parted company with his uncle Abram. Genesis 13:11

The first step away from God is always a step away from the people of God

So Abram settled in the land of Canaan, and Lot moved his tents to a place near Sodom and settled among the cities of the plain. 13 But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the Lord. Genesis 13:12-13

The Wrong Question = How close can I get to sin and still be a Christian?

The Right Question = How close can I get to Jesus?

The victorious invaders then plundered Sodom and Gomorrah and headed for home, taking with them all the spoils of war and the food supplies. 12 They also captured Lot—Abram’s nephew who lived in Sodom—and carried off everything he owned. Genesis 14:11-12

Sin affects more people than just me

But one of Lot’s men escaped and reported everything to Abram the Hebrew, who was living near the oak grove belonging to Mamre the Amorite. Mamre and his relatives, Eshcol and Aner, were Abram’s allies. Genesis 14:13

We should rejoice that we do not get what we deserve

So many people would rather pray about something so they don’t actually have to do anything
When Abram heard that his nephew Lot had been captured, he mobilized the 318 trained men who had been born into his household. Then he pursued Kedorlaomer’s army until he caught up with them at Dan. Genesis 14:14

                        Lost people matter to God

For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Luke 19:10

Since lost people matter to God, they should matter to the people of God
How many Lots do you know in your life?
There he divided his men and attacked during the night. Kedorlaomer’s army fled, but Abram chased them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. Genesis 14:15
Jesus has called us to reach the world

Abram recovered all the goods that had been taken, and he brought back his nephew Lot with his possessions and all the women and other captives. Genesis 14:16

                        At Central we will:
Be serious about what Jesus is serious about

Continue to fight for people who have been taken by the enemy

See people experience victories that only come from God

Make a difference in the community

                        See people saved

See people be healed and restored

Watch people be blessed and live a full life

                        Refueled Week #2

                        Filled with Mercy

                        Genesis 12:10-20

                        • Despite the consequences, the place of your greatest mistake is an opportunity to experience God's greatest mercy

                        • At that time a severe famine struck the land of Canaan, forcing Abram to go down to Egypt, where he lived as a foreigner. Genesis 12:10

3 key words- Famine Forcing Foreigner

                          • A famine will cause us to feel empty and lose focus

                            • The famine forced them to go to Egypt

                              • Any time we take our eyes off of Jesus and we look at circumstances around us instead of looking to Him, we will wind up in places that we do not belong

                              • As he was approaching the border of Egypt, Abram said to his wife, Sarai, “Look, you are a very beautiful woman. 12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife. Let’s kill him; then we can have her!’ Genesis 12:11-12

                                • When we're full, we will make decisions based on faith. And when we're empty, we will make decisions based on fear

                                • For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

So please tell them you are my sister. Then they will spare my life and treat me well because of their interest in you.”

                                  Genesis 12:13

                                  • Whenever we walk away from God, and we get empty, we do selfish things that always hurt other people

                                  • And sure enough, when Abram arrived in Egypt, everyone noticed Sarai’s beauty. 15 When the palace officials saw her, they sang her praises to Pharaoh, their king, and Sarai was taken into his palace. 16 Then Pharaoh gave Abram many gifts because of her—sheep, goats, cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels. Genesis 12:14-16

                                    • When we walk into “The Devil’s Playground,” we will give up what we want most for what we can have in the moment

                                    • But the Lord sent terrible plagues upon Pharaoh and his household because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. Genesis 12:17

                                      • God wants to do a work in us. The enemy wants to do a work on us

                                        • God will always fight for His children

                                          • God does not give up on people

                                          • So Pharaoh summoned Abram and accused him sharply. “What have you done to me?” he demanded. “Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ and allow me to take her as my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and get out of here!” 20 Pharaoh ordered some of his men to escort them, and he sent Abram out of the country, along with his wife and all his possessions. Genesis 12:18-20

Living Half Empty or Half Full

                                            Genesis 11:27-32; 12:1-7

                                            • In order to live full, you have to get full
                                            • This is the account of Terah’s family. Terah was the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran was the father of Lot. 28 But Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans, the land of his birth, while his father, Terah, was still living. 29 Meanwhile, Abram and Nahor both married. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah. (Milcah and her sister Iscah were daughters of Nahor’s brother Haran.) 30 But Sarai was unable to become pregnant and had no children. Genesis 11:27-30
                                              • When we feel stuck, we don’t believe that we can move forward
                                              • One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai (his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot (his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there. 32 Terah lived for 205 years and died while still in Haran. Genesis 11:31-32
                                                • Anytime we settle, something inside of us dies
                                                • The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1
                                                  • If we remain in an environment that labels us, we will never step into what God has for us
                                                  • I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. 3 I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:2-3
                                                    • Some people stuck on empty want to stay stuck on empty
                                                    • So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. 5 He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth—his livestock and all the people he had taken into his household at Haran—and headed for the land of Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan,  Genesis 12:4-5
                                                      • You cannot get full on your own
                                                      • Abram traveled through the land as far as Shechem. There he set up camp beside the oak of Moreh. At that time, the area was inhabited by Canaanites. 7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him. Genesis 12:6-7

                                                            • Many times, the reason we show up at church and receive no revelation is because we have no expectation
                                                            • When we experience the presence of Jesus, we cannot stay the same

As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. Acts 3:2
                                                              • We are all born sinful
                                                              • 3. No more low expectations
                                                                • What is it that God wants to do inside of you that has not yet happened?
                                                                • When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. Acts 3:3
                                                                  • Do not allow your dysfunction to become your identity
                                                                  • Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Acts 3:4-6
                                                                    • Jesus will deliver you out of your dysfunction
                                                                    • 4. No more pretending we can do it on our own
                                                                      • We need the help of Jesus and each other to make it through life
                                                                      • Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. Acts 3:7

He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” Matthew 26:38
                                                                        • Religion pushes you down. Jesus helps you up
                                                                        • 5. No more staying silent

He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them. Acts 3:8
                                                                          • Church should be a place of celebration, not condemnation
                                                                          • 46 min

                                                                            Momentum - Week 2
                                                                            “Unstoppable Momentum”
                                                                            1 Samuel 17: 32-54

Unstoppable Momentum is a moving force that overcomes resistance.

Stone #1: Having The Right Perspective.

32 “Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!” 33 “Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.” 1 Samuel 17:32-33

“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

Stone #2: Ignore the criticisms of others when your cause is just and your direction is clear.

34 But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep and goats,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock, 35 I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death. 36 I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God! 37a The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!” 1 Samuel 17:34-37a

“This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.” 2 Timothy 1:6

Stone #3: Victory or Defeat is determined by what leads us.

37b Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the Lord be with you!” 38 Then Saul gave David his own armor—a bronze helmet and a coat of mail. 39 David put it on, strapped the sword over it, and took a step or two to see what it was like, for he had never worn such things before. “I can’t go in these,” he protested to Saul. “I’m not used to them.” So David took them off again. 40 He picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them into his shepherd’s bag. Then, armed only with his shepherd’s staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine. 1 Samuel 17:37b-40

Stone #4: Be confident where you’re at and be courageous in the moment.

41 Goliath walked out toward David with his shield bearer ahead of him, 42 sneering in contempt at this ruddy-faced boy. 43 “Am I a dog,” he roared at David, “that you come at me with a stick?” And he cursed David by the names of his gods. 44 “Come over here, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and wild animals!” Goliath yelled. 45 David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! 47 And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!” -1 Samuel 17:41-47

                                                                            Stone #5: Seize the Opportunity

48 As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him. 49 Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground. 1 Samuel 17:48-49

“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.” Mark 11:22–23

Stone #6: Preparation creates confidence which produces Unstoppable Momentum

50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword. 51 Then David ran over and pulled Goliath’s sword from its sheath. David used it to kill him and cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they turned and ran. 52 Then the men of Israel and Judah gave a great shout of triumph and rushed after the Philistines, chasing them as far as Gath and the gates of Ekron. The bodies of the dead and wounded Philistines were strewn all along the road from Shaaraim, as far as Gath and Ekron. 53 Then the Israelite army returned and plundered the deserted Philistine camp. 54 (David took the Philistine’s head to Jerusalem, but he stored the man’s armor in his own tent.) 1 Samuel 17:50-54

“But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you.” Exodus 23:22

                                                                            David

                                                                            Staff, Sling, Stones

                                                                            Experienced Soldier

                                                                            “Forward Momentum” - March 10th, 2024
                                                                            Philippians 3:8-9

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ, and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. Phil. 3:8-9

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. Phil. 3:12
                                                                            • The life of faith is more about embracing a journey than it is about arriving at a destination.
                                                                            • Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. Phil. 3:12
                                                                              • It's impossible to press on or chase after Jesus with everything that we have if we're living in the past.
                                                                              • The enemy's plan is that it would define you God’s plan for your past is that it would refine you.
                                                                              • Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. Phil. 3:13

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadow boxing.  I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
                                                                                • Don’t be complacent in how you train for spiritual growth.
                                                                                • I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:14
                                                                                  • Jesus isn't the means to an end Jesus is the end.
                                                                                  • Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.
                                                                                    • Don't give up! Keep chasing after the one who says I hold you at every turn.
                                                                                    • Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. Phil. 3:15-19
                                                                                      • You have a choice who you keep in your view.
                                                                                      • But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. Phil. 3:20-21

                                                                                        Matthew 16:13-18

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” 15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. Matthew 16:13-18
                                                                                        • The word Ecclesia means- a group of called out people
                                                                                        • From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead. Matthew 16:21
                                                                                          • Jesus is coming back for His Bride- The Church
                                                                                          • Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” John 14:1-4

And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

                                                                                            1. Let’s get engaged

Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 15 If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? 18 But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. 19 How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 1 Corinthians 12:14-19

                                                                                            2. Let’s ask people to come sit with us

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
