Through the story of David’s family in 2 Samuel 13–18, we see how ignored wisdom, ungodly counsel, passive leadership, and unconfessed sin fracture families and deepen wounds over time. Yet even in the midst of heartbreaking consequences, the gospel reminds us that Jesus is the only One who truly forgives the unforgivable, heals the brokenhearted, and restores what sin has destroyed.
