Social inappropriateness, lack of a concern for others, and inflation of one's own importance: these are all ways to earn a bad reputation according to Proverbs 25. Loving God and our neighbor well actually requires some significant social intelligence!

Wisdom requires that we manage our lives well, and what more important part of our lives to manage than our mouths? If we want to love God and our neighbor well, we have to be intentional in how we talk to people.

Wisdom requires that we ponder, discern and make judgments based on situations and context, not on hard and fast rules. We can also be guided by God's own wisdom expressed in the crucified Christ. Listen in to Pastor Heather's pre-Lenten message.
