Today's episode features Shereen Rad, where she speaks about intersectionality, specifically with the Haitian community. According to The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, the U.S. has consistently detained more Haitian families in 2020 than any other nationality. It is time we start taking action against these issues, in addition to changing the narrative which currently exists.

Episode three of Sunday Stories @ Six begins with updates on Immigration Reform with Gabby Flores. Gabby speaks about the barriers towards citizenship and how they are neither linear nor easy. The H.R.6 Dream and Promise Act, which was passed by The House, will provide a pathway towards citizenships for DACA recipients. To elaborate on the difficulty of gaining citizenship, Argeo Cruz comes on to share his story of how he qualified for the U.S Olympic Trials, yet was not able to run due to his status as a DACA recipient.

Welcome to the first episode of Sunday Stories @ Six!!! In this episode, we get the ball rolling on immigration reform- beginning with what DACA actually means. Our own Gabriela Flores led today's update on all-things-DACA and the world of immigration reform. In addition, our first guest (Guest #1) joined us to talk about his experience as an immigrant from Haiti!
