The Parable of the Unjust Steward is a parable that has puzzled people for generations. What is Jesus trying to tell us in this story about a world that is falling apart and a man who takes advantage of the situation? In this episode and in his sermon, Thomas argues that one message he takes from it is that when the world is in crisis, the situation often calls for decisive, cunning action. The climate crisis the world is dealing with now is resulting in dramatic declines in animal populations, increasing damage to habitats and a reduction in the quality of life for millions around the world. What decisive action should we be taking and calling for?
