In today's episode, Annette Pelayo, a real estate agent and UCSD alumni, joins us in a discussion about higher education. We dive into topics such as financial literacy and career paths, gaining insight from a non-traditional perspective.

On the morning of June 20, 2020, we cover three under-the-radar news: the remains of missing kids Tylee Ryan and Joshua Vallow have been recently found in Idaho (NBC News), the $2.2 billion lost by Wirecard and the resignation of their CEO (CNN Business), and how the coronavirus pandemic will cost the U.S. economy $7.9 trillion over the next ten years and steep developing countries into a major debt crisis (New York Times).  We also cover one local news story from the Bay Area: SF will now send unarmed professionals to non-criminal calls instead of police (LA Times).

For the evening of June 13, 2020, we cover three pieces of positive, feel-good news: a Korean adoptee wins a landmark case for their rights for their biological family roots; Crayola released a skin tone line; and FarmLink, a network of students and volunteers that redirects thousands of pounds of potential food waste to food banks to help during COVID-19.

Lounge around and eat a snack as you listen to a discussion of anti-blackness in the Asian American community. We dive into the multiple factors that we feel have contributed to anti-blackness along with how that has manifested itself in our community.  At the end, we give you a rundown of steps on how to have a conversation with your family on the Black Lives Matter and the oppression it fights against.
