On this week's episode of the Sunny in PHX Podcast, Charlie Erling and Mitch Krmpotich talk about the Devin Booker groin injury, other injury news, headlines from over the holiday break, and more.
It was disappointing to see Devin Booker's brief return to the court be ended by reaggravating his groin injury, and will end up missing about a month for the Suns. The guys also talk the Cameron Johnson timetable for return, Cameron Payne reaggravating his foot injury, and then have a brief conversation about if a finger needs to be pointed at the training staff.
Then the guys talk about what needs to be done for the Suns to get back to their winning ways without Devin Booker on the court. Lots of talk about Mikal Bridges stepping in as a consistent 2nd or 3rd scoring options were happening earlier this season, but Mikal has had a few rough games without Booker in the spotlight. Deandre Ayton is also another thought - and the guys talk about how the team could possibly attempt to get him more involved in the offense moving forward.
Things wrap up by the guys looking at the next four games (three on national TV) - and it is not looking great for the Suns. Lets hope the guys heal up and get hot before having to play Miami, Cleveland, Golden State, and Denver.
Thanks for tuning in, and Go Suns!
