Jesus has communicated everything you need to know about Him, he has interpreted for you His words & how you are to apply them...and now He holds up to your life a mirror trying to help you see yourself, your blindness, your deafness so that you might turn to Him for real & lasting change. He won't force you: You must humble yourself & respond. Will you?

Even Jesus' follwers need to Jesus to open their eyes to see who He is.

The gospel writer here assumes something in this passage - that you wish to be used by God - and he achieves something in this passage - the Life "Balance" that all of us our trying to strike. Balance according to Jesus.
