Technical difficulties forced us into a Soprano's style cliffhanger... but Season 2 of This Town is here!
We're tackling the current #SmokeSZN emanating from California's countless wildfires, the sad state of Summer 2020, and the battles between the City and County of Fresno we missed during our hiatus.
Halfway to the most joyous of times – yes, even in the year of coronavirus – Verros and Tavlian dive into a world of Grinchery over getting prepped for Christmas in the summer.
Suffice it to say, it's the Townies vs. Christmas Commies.
After two weeks off, Verros and Tavlian tackle a bevy of topics: from the police protests and riots surrounding the death of George Floyd to the City of Fresno's budget battles this week.
We also look beyond the summer to the big storylines coming up in the Fall.
Verros and Tavlian are joined this week by TV reporter Christina Tetreault of KSEE 24, CBS 47, and San Francisco's KRON 4 fame.
Before diving into California's reopening spree from the coronavirus pandemic, including the differences between the Central Valley and Bay Area, Christina gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the underrated and occasionally bizarre parts of being a TV personality.
After a week off, Tav and Verros take on the surprising extension of shelter-in-place. the battle over Fresno's Waffle Shop to defy the city's shelter-in-place order, and the shocking confrontation between protesters and Fresno City Councilmember Miguel Arias at his doorstep.
But first, a brief chat on ESPN's 'The Last Dance.' Not into the 90s Bulls? It's OK, neither is Verros. Skip the Bulls/Jordan talk by seeking to 11:20 and kick off the Fresno portion of the show.

This Town is hitting the road, sorta.
Mike Oz, the Wonderful Wizard of Fresno Tacos and Major League Baseball, joins Verros and Tavlian from three different taco trucks around Fresno and Clovis. We're talking the current state of taco trucks during the coronavirus pandemic and what we could see arise from the Major Leagues.

– Tavlian: Tacos La Villita (https://www.instagram.com/tacoslavillita_)
Verros and Tavlian wade into a quarantine-driven spat on the Clovis City Council and evaluate how politics via "The Way of Life" fares against its next door neighbor.
With coronavirus quarantine stretching on – a new battle has emerged between the City of Fresno and local golf clubs seeking to allow their members to hit the links.
Mr. Clovis – Fresno County Supervisor Nathan Magsig himself – dives into the work Fresno County is leading to flatten the curve amid coronavirus while managing disaster response.
