A Queensland toddler is fighting for life after a horrific crash in Logan, south of Brisbane. The 3-year-old was being pushed in a stroller by her mum when the stroller was hit by a truck at Browns Plains. There are fresh calls for safer drinking water laws after revelations Australia is falling behind the United States' quality standards. Following improvements in American regulations, a carcinogen called PFAS is now allowed in Australia's tap water at 140 times than what is considered safe in the United States. It comes as new research shows high concentrations of chemicals in drinking water across the country with many areas exceeding recommended levels.

A leading Victorian college has come under fire over accusations of racism by senior staff. The Herald Sun is reporting, that 2 students at Melbourne Girls' College, one of whom is mixed race, were allegedly told their faces were "too brown" to have their pictures taken on school photo day in February.
