Flashback, Whoosh! Hell no we won't go. Hell no we won;t go! The year is 1970 and I am in the Administration offices of my high school. I along with other students are holding a sit in. Blue Jeans are a trend and not allowed at my high school. The chant, well that is from the anti Viet Nam War marchers. In the end Blue Jeans were allowed. Interesting how certain trends become a fixture in our lives and others disappear. Still others may reappear to trend again.

Hey, podcasts are one of the trends still going strong. Interesting how after 50 years I am once again involved in a big trend.

This is sourdough bread starter doing its pet tricks. I have owned many types of pets. None of which could do what sourdough starter can do. Make delicious baked breads and other fantastic baked treats. This pet has a long line of history and became very popular during the Covid years. Like all pets it can be great fun and interesting to care for. Hey, when the weather becomes cold or rainy there is no need to go outside to take it for a walk.. Tap tap shake, shake, squeeze squeeze sniff sniff! Once again, I am in search of the perfect cantaloupe. This for some is a very serious quest. Almost as serious as the search for the perfect watermelon. Searching for perfection makes these quests virtually impossible. Yes, I have eaten excellent cantaloupe and watermelon. How about you, our listening audience? Have you experienced an excellent tasting cantaloupe or super sweet juicy peach that’s almost perfect? On the other hand sometimes even with all our knowledge we end up with a bad peach a bad cantaloupe, a bad watermelon. Or how about other life experiences an imperfect run down a ski slope, the big fish that gets away the tennis ball that flys over the fence. Yes, many of our experiences are ruined by our search for perfection. Today, we will look at the later side of perfection. Oh, what a perfect idea!

, WHISPERING WISDOMS FROM PUFF TO MARY POPPINS. Teaching grandchildren to keep beloved story characters like Puff the Magic Dragon, Mary Poppins and Winnie the Pooh alive as they grow older is important. They in fact live in my soul. Can you feel the value and sense of joy these characters bring?

Puff the Magic Dragon for example, represents not just an imaginary friend but the enduring value of creativity and wonder. These imaginary characters serve as life long companions that can help us and our grandkids deal with emotions, life challenges and see the world from new perspectives.

Swat, Missed! Swat, Missed! Swat, Missed! These little gnats are impossible to hit

They can be soooo annoying. Do you all agree? While recording this episode there are Gnats from our plants teaseiug Mark and myself as we try to work. They get right up into your face. I can almost hear them saying go ahead, try to hit us! My wife is famous for her Kung Foo quickness when it comesto swatting flies. But, even she can not catch the Gnats.

Ok, so you all may think these Gnats annoy. me so much that they cause me great stress and angst. Well, they do not! Nor, do the Quote daily Gnats of life.

Todays episode is about how many of us allow the daily Gnats of life to controll us. We do have choices. Ask yourself, who is in charge? Our lives need not be stressed by these daily Gnat occurrences. Join us a we look for humor and the lighter side of life. I live by the Monty Python saying, "Always look on the bright side of life."

I am telling you right now, if that pickle does not bounce after being dropped from a height of one foot it can not be sold and is unsafe for consumption. Arizona has the no donkey sleeping in the bathtub law. Connecticut has the pickle bounce law. Yes, we have some quirky, unusual and humorous laws or rules that our society has created.
