HIVE! Week 18, here we go! The show must go on!

Entry Title: "**Broken String Blues**"

So, firstly, please let me explain why I have my own guitar solo rather than the weekly theme. I am still looking forwards to the Disney theme for you all, but, I guess I've never been a Disney fan (for several reasons!) please don't judge me haha, and I know I won't be winning this week but I still wanted to take part!

Instead of reimagining a Disney classic I decided to stay true to my roots and deliver a raw, unfiltered blues guitar solo. "Broken String Blues" captures the essence of blues rock, filled with passion, grit, and a touch of unpredictability.

At **02:48**, life throws me a curveball when I break a string mid-solo. But as they say in showbiz, the show must go on! I didn’t let a broken string stop me; instead, I embraced the challenge, turning it into a moment of spontaneity that embodies the very spirit of the blues—making the best of what you have, even when it’s less than perfect.

While the competition may be leaning towards Disney this week, my heart beats for the blues. I hope this piece resonates with those who appreciate the raw power of music and the determination to keep playing, no matter what life throws your way.

Enjoy the ride, and let's rock!

Peace and love!

Lim Jae Hyun, Moon Seong Wook - With a Smile 기타 솔로

I heard this song YEARS ago and just could not get it out of my head, for years! But, guess what? I could not for the life of me remember what it was called, the artists name, or anything! I was endlessly searching for Korean Ballads or Korean Ballad Guitars Solos and, well, sort of lost hope as I just couldn't find it. Then, suddenly, a recommended video appeared. Could it be? No.. I won't even click... I thought. Something urged me to click play and oh my goodness here it was again. To me, this is one of the greatest ballad solos I have heard! Something just resonated with me so deeply!! I am not sure if I have done this solo justice, but it was tremendous fun to play and an honour to learn and love!! Enjoy everyone :)

Peace and love to you all!

NOTE - I know this solo is just shorter than 1 minute, but I really hope you enjoy it still! Short, but sweet!

VIBES WEB 3 - WEEK 17

Wow, week 17! How awesome! What an incredible 17 weeks it has been, many more to come :)

Sweet! So this week I wanted to come in with something from the soul, and for me, that is a guitar solo! I love losing myslef in the music (so much that even my hair getting in my mouth doesn't break me outta the vibe - if you noticed that haha!) but yes, this was fun for me, as I sure do love jamming out and rocking a solo :)

This is played on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom of which I have upgraded the pickups on :) I think it sounds and looks awesome, to be honest, it is my dream guitar!

Happy to be back and playing after some weeks of unwanted downtime! Can't wait to really pick things up again and take this all to the next level!:)

Peace and love to you all!!

HIVE!

Back to the OG SunsetHunter videos!! Some big guitar solos! Actually, for those of you who have been here a LONG time, I used to post Sunset photos only :) yes, just photos, and no guitar videos! I've always played, but I didn't even start my music jounrey as CHOEY G until 2021. I did start posting guitar video here back around 2020 I believe. But yes I have been here since 2017! Crazy right... actually, I was over on steemit before that and sorta migrated here all thanks to the wonderful Sally who helped me out with all of this - if you're reading Sally, you are awesome and I appreciate you!

So this is a slow rock style solo on my 'strat' - a LTD SN200. A great guitar which doesn't break the bank! It's actually a pretty cheap somewhat entry level guitar, but it plays so well!

This was a lot of fun! The track is a Pink Floyd style track but this in no way is a David Gilmour tribute - I am a huge fan but just playing in my own style here :) really, just improving and having fun and I think it loosens up as it goes! Either way, I hope you enjoy!

Peace and love to you all :)

**HIVE! This Week is a Special One!**

Hello, everyone! I’m excited to share something truly unique with you all this week.

First, I want to address my entry as it deviates from the usual expectations for a Vibes entry. This is an official music video, so I’m not performing or singing live in the traditional sense. However, the entire song is my original work. It's a tune I wrote years ago, which has evolved over time. While the intro and first verse have been with me for a while, I finally got it properly recorded and produced into this music video.

I fully understand that this might not meet the typical criteria for a vibes entry, and I would absolutely not except a top 10 placement since the competition requires live performances.

My primary goal here is to share and debut my video with you all during this special Vibes week. The video has just been released, and you are the first audience to see it! I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

**The Song – We Are The Ones**

A few years ago, many of us went through some incredibly challenging times. This song reflects my personal journey and how we collectively overcame those obstacles. It carries significant meaning for me and, I hope, for you too.

You might notice some references to "V for Vendetta" and Guy Fawkes. These are meant to add depth and layers to the song, so feel free to explore these references if you're interested.

I genuinely hope you enjoy this video. It’s the second music video I’ve released, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

**Upcoming Release**

In just one month, I’ll be releasing a brand-new song with an accompanying video! Stay tuned for more exciting music coming your way!

Thank you for your support, and I can’t wait to hear what you think of "We Are The Ones"!

**Lyrics**

I was here for you all, when you came from afar

Tonight, they will know who we are, we are

The ones who were forgotten when the world moved on and on

And on and on again from the likes of who we are

We are the ones, who started, it all off before anyone knew a thing

About how this would be, how this would be

Brainwashed, everyone is, so lost, the whole dam world is

Gone in the head, no they never listen, freedom is dead or that's what I'm feeling

Brainwashed, everyone is, so lost, the whole dam world is

Gone in the head, no they never listen, freedom is dead or that's what I'm feeling

I remember way back when, the thoughts in my head were deafening

Now all I can say is, it's who we are

We are the ones who are not forgotten when the world was tuning out

And turned their backs, we stood up, it's who we are, it's who we are

Brainwashed, everyone is, so lost, the whole dam world is

Gone in the head, no they never listen, freedom is dead or that's what I'm feeling

Brainwashed, everyone is, so lost, the whole dam world is

Gone in the head, no they never listen, freedom is dead or that's what I'm feeling

The ones who stand out, when everyone else gives up

It sure was nice to be free

The ones who stand out, when everyone else gives up

It sure was nice to be free

The ones who stand out, when everyone else gives up

It sure was nice to be free

The ones who stand out, when everyone else gives up

It sure was nice to be free

Brainwashed, everyone is, so lost, the whole dam world is

Gone in the head, no they never listen, freedom is dead or that's what I'm feeling

Brainwashed, everyone is, so lost, the whole dam world is

Gone in the head, no they never listen, freedom is dead or that's what I'm feeling

Hello HIVE!

A big thank you to @edwardstobia for inviting me to join in on some weekly jams! Thanks man!

This week is a little different. A YouTuber named 'Adam Burse' passed away last week and I have decided to do a Tribute solo for him. I was trying to get him over to Hive, along with others. I didn't know Adam personally, but he was always very supportive and we enjoyed each others videos very much for about 2 years. It seems like he had made a big impact on peoples lives over on YouTube, as many are very upset. Well, I thought that a huge blues jam was the least I could do in his memory! RIP Adam!

I will be joining these weekly jams - for those of you who do not know me, I am a guitarist / songwriter and love playing blues rock music! I release my own original music along with frequent solos!

Peace and love everyone - enjoy! \m/

ARTIST NAME - CHOEY G (sunsethunter)

GUITAR - Epiphone Les Paul Custom (2000)

Back with some blues! Those of you know know me, you know I love the blues!

I have been very busy lately, so I haven't had much time for jam and play as usual, which sucks... BUT I have been working on music videos :) in fact, I will be off recording a new music video for a NEW SONG tomorrow! Love it! I can't wait for you to hear this new song. It will be out in August.

Also... stick around for next weekend... a video for my song We Are The Ones will be released :)I can't wait to share it!

This jam track was from my brother in blues, Paulo - he is over on YouTube and I have given the link to his channel :) I have tried to get him over here to jam with us, but he had some troubles signing up and it doesn't seem that he can post.. hope to see him here real soon!

Anyway, I sure hope you all enjoy this! I am slowly getting back into playing again after a few weeks off :) been on the acoustic a bit more these days which is a fun change!:)

Keep rocking! Peace and love :)

YES!! Coming in last minute as I had been away for a couple of days, but absolutely loving this one! Happy to have discovered some of Sam's music thanks to Vibes!

This week I am covering Sam Feldt's song 'Mi Amor' - and I gotta should out to JVKE and Anitta as they feature on this track!

A lot of my own music is pop punk, so there are some similarities here. When writing a song I am trying to find a hook, a riff, or something memorable that I can go back to and have people sing! Sure, I love to shred and play solos the most, but that doesn't equal a great song! So, in short, this way fun!

This is what Sam's tune would sound like with a lot of guitar added! Sam, if you ever want me on a track I'd love to lay down some licks :)

Had to go for it with some faster stuff, as it just comes naturally to me, but I tried to follow the melodies and just have fun with it :) what a cool song! I am pumped up after listening to it and more of SF's tunes!

My Les Paul Custom has been upgraded with these Seymour Duncan pickups! Have a little playing around to do with the wiring and selector, but it sounds as good as it looks! It is currently in the guitar store as I tried to figure out the wiring again and... well.. yes, let's just say it is in the store ;)

Love these medium paced blues rock tracks, thanks 'MJsBackingTracks' for this one, love it!

be sure to have a jam everyone!

Thanks for the love and support everyone, it means a lot! Peace and love!

PS - I have my **FIRST OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO** coming out in 4 days! Below is a short preview:

What do you think of this? It will premier on HIVE first, before anywhere else! Which is also something that I am super excited about! :)
