Sunshine Sessions

This episode will focus on our host, Hannah, interviewed by Rays of Sunshine co-founder Stephen Allan. We will hear all about Hannah’s connection with the charity and her wish, to meet her hero Jessie J, who is lives with a similar heart condition as Hannah.

This episode we will speak to Caitlin, 18, about her wish to meet global superstars and one of the biggest boy bands in the world, One Direction. Caitlin, inspired by her wish, has gone on to run an annual fundraising campaign that has had celebs from the world of TV, music and film all take part, including Stephen Fry, Pixie Lott, Niall Horan and many more.

In this week's episode, Hannah talks to 18-year-old Joe, from Mitcham, who recently completed an incredible 100-mile cycle challenge in aid of Rays of Sunshine raising £15,000. Hannah and Joe talk about what it’s like to be a young adult living with a serious illness, how Rays of Sunshine has supported Joe and why he decided to become a fundraising superhero.

This episode is full of fun, love and laughter as host Hannah interviews singer, songwriter Pixie Lott. Pixie is a celebrity ambassador for Rays of Sunshine and has been involved with the charity for more than 10 years. We hear about how she has helped grant wishes, explore parts of her personal journey and find out what she would wish for if she could have one granted.

This episode focuses on daughter and mother, Olivia and Nina, and their journeys with Rays of Sunshine. We’ll find out the long-lasting impact having a wish granted by Rays of Sunshine had on the whole family, what it’s like living with a serious illness and also a parent’s perspective. Nina has also gone on to be a part of the Rays of Sunshine Executive Board helping shape the future of the charity.

Gracie has her wish granted to meet Ant & Dec by Rays of Sunshine. She is also an aspiring presenter, YouTuber and interviewer. Whilst on her wish she interviewed Ant & Dec and has also presented for Kids Bafta, where she presented an award with Stacey Solomon.
