Therapy is no longer a bad word. It has become a very mainstream and holistic method of healing. It doesn’t work for everyone, but it has worked for me (not without resistance at first though) so let’s chat about that today. Whether therapy is for you or not, working through your deep-rooted BS is necessary for you to reach your highest self and live authentically.

 Reflecting upon my adult life has made me realize that rather than “becoming” the person that I am today, my life has been more about unbecoming versions of myself that I am not. Shedding away the roles, thoughts, and expectations that I thought were me to reveal my true, healthy self. Shedding away what doesn’t serve us requires us to get honest and real with the parts of ourselves that are not working for us, this includes the painful and the ugly stuff. Growth is not always pretty, but it’s worth it.

Does the thought of disappointing other people almost make you want to die?
