Triggered or inspired?: My take on the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
I thought it was AMAZING. I thought it was entertaining, it was fun, it was sexy, it was EMPOWERING.
And then I looked on social media and saw all the negativity. So in today’s episode, I’m going to talk about my take on the Super Bowl performances and how our reactions relate to our own lives. ⤵️
+ When something makes you uncomfortable… ask yourself why. Your reaction to something is in your control. It is our responsibility to examine why we have the thoughts we do.
+ It is important to recognize cultural differences and know that what is normal to you may not be normal to others, and vice-versa.
+ Children are like sponges. Whether you speak negatively or positively about something, chances are, your child will adopt those feelings as their own. If you don’t want their child to say that they hate their body, that they’re too fat, that they don’t want to eat vegetables because they taste bad… then you shouldn’t say those things around them either!
+ Why do we have to comment on other women’s bodies and their clothing? ESPECIALLY as women ourselves. If we as women tear other women down, that makes it okay for men to do it too. As an entrepreneur with an online business, I have that fear of judgement. I have that fear that I will put myself out there, and someone will put me down for doing my best and doing what I love. And that’s why this had me so fired up.
And you know what? You can disagree with me, and that’s okay! You don’t have to agree with everyone all the time.
Let’s work together to EMPOWER women, not tear them down.
Speaking of women at the Super Bowl… Demi Lovato tweeted 10 years ago that she wanted to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl someday… and the other day, SHE DID. She set her intention, and she DID IT. It took 10 years. But she did it.
+ There have been times that I have wanted to give up. But I’m coming up on year 3, and it’s happening. I’m seeing the success I dreamed of, I have financial freedom, and I’m so glad that I never gave up.
+ Know your WHY. Have the tenacity to keep going and never give up.
Stick it out. Don’t give up. Have an open mind. I promise, your future self will thank you for it.
Dream + Intention + Faith + Belief + Hard Work + Dedication + Tenacity + Skill + Passion = Fulfilling your DREAM!
