She holds a PHD in education from Harvard and she is an author of an incredible book, Swimming upstream: Story of grit and determination to succeed. She unpacked her journey of rising above poverty of the Cape Flats to ivy-league lecture halls and the boardrooms of some of South Africa’s biggest enterprises. And also an account of immense personal tragedy, and picking yourself up and carrying on, and how that has shaped her to be an awesome leader that she is today.
