For the final episode of our 1st season, we watched 'Just Mercy', an amazing movie that EVERYONE should watch on how justice looks different in America for Black people and poor people. We had a TON of feelings after this movie. (After you watch it, you probably will too.) Listen to us vent our frustrations in this episode!

We chose 'Eyes Wide Shut' for this episode because JoJo wanted to watch a movie with Nicole Kidman in it, and out of the choices she gave, 'Eyes Wide Shut' sounded the most intriguing. What's NOT to be interested about "a harrowing, night-long odyssey of sexual and moral discovery" (according to the IMDb summary)?
March 7 to 13 is National Foreign Language Week in the US, and while we aren't in the US, we thought it was high time we showcased a film that isn't in English. We rave about 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' this week, but we also think some aspects don't measure up to the wuxia shows we watched growing up.

This week is ALL about 'Titanic' -- a blockbuster so epic that it stayed on top of US box office charts for SIXTEEN WEEKS, a feat that is unheard of and probably will never be repeated again. We discuss what made this epic blockbuster (that isn't a superhero movie!) so popular and impossible to replicate.

'Wonder Woman'! Our favourite DC Cinematic Universe movie to date, and one of our favourite superhero movies ever. In this episode, we gush about the iconic No Man's Land scene, while wondering why the CGI doesn't look as great as the CGI of another beloved movie that is 15 years older.

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day! We ponder what makes 'When Harry Met Sally' one of the most enduring classic romance movies, and also talk about *that* diner scene.

In this episode, we talk about 'Toy Story' -- a movie that JoJo LOVES and JL likes (though not as much as she likes 'Toy Story 3'). Fun fact: JL watched 'Toy Story 2' before she watched 'Toy Story'. Why? You'll have to listen to find out!
In our very first pilot episode, we talk about 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' -- the movie that started JL's obsession with movies and a movie that JoJo has never seen in full... until now.
