"Enjoy where you are on the way to where you’re going." It was Joyce Meyer that I first heard use that phrase back at uni and it really used to bug me. Like, if I don’t like where I am and I can see clearly where I want to be, how on earth can I bring myself to accept where I am - let alone enjoy it or even prosper in it!
But then again, isn’t that what people like Joseph, Abraham, Daniel, David, Jesus, Paul and much more did? Regardless of how far their current situations were from what they desired or even the future God had showed them, they still learnt to flourish right there.
