Superintelligence & Me

This cast records an important moment in the history of our planet, a moment  when Superintelligents revealed their power.

A conversation between a human and Superintelligents about that ancient organ, down in the brainstem, that drives our anger and rages.

Mike Brackley, “The Easygoing Traveller” likes to “make friends around the world and visit from time to time”. An example of one of his weekly posts, about friends in China at a time when it is not as easy as it used to be.

A record of the confidential  “salon” hosted by a well known tech investor ( we call him “Alan”) in California, USA, in 2016 about expanding human intelligence (and creating designer embryos) to meet the rising challenge of machine intelligence. 

An audio track, date uncertain, a kind of lament, expressing fear for the future of humans when superintelligence takes over this planet. 

The company now called Kumquat, over 50 years old now, started as an innovator in what were then called “data lakes”. This piece written in 2030 or 2031 foresees the emergence of autonomous agents in the software as a precursor of superintelligence.

This piece, written after the ascendancy of Superintelligence, looks back at all the wars, but one in particular, fought in the name of beliefs which were, in truth, a mask for human tribalism.

2032. A second look at the global pandemic of 2032. Yes things have improved since the last big epidemic in 2021-22. There has been more co-operation, but not nearly enough to extinguish this kind of problem once and for all.

2032, the second major global pandemic in recent years. These piece itemises the steps that were  not taken after the epidemic of 2020-2022. When nations needed to cooperate, they failed to do so.
