The Natchez manhunt for one of 10 inmates who broke out of a New Orleans prison earlier this month ended without an arrest.

On Tuesday, multiple law enforcement agencies canvassed the area near Providence Road, looking for Antoine Massey. According to police, they no longer believe he's in the area. Residents are asked to remain vigilant. Massey and Derrick Groves are the only two inmates still on the run.

The Corinth community is mourning the loss of a teenager who died in a jet ski accident over Memorial Day weekend. 14-year-old Jackson Thomas Marlar was transported to a Tennessee hospital after two jet skis collided near Goat Island in Iuka on Friday afternoon. He was a student at Corinth Middle School. Plus, Jackson police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in the median of I-55 near Beasley Road on Monday. The Black male was surrounded by car parts and debris that appeared to be from a vehicle that may have been involved in the incident. Police haven't said whether the death was the result of a hit-and-run and haven't released the name of the deceased.

Brookhaven police are investigating several shootings that took place over the Memorial Day weekend. One of those shootings led to the death of a local teenager. Brookhaven Mayor Joe Cox issued a statement on social media expressing concerns over what he referred to as a lack of effective leadership by the current police chief, blaming poor organization and management for unpunished criminal acts, high officer turnover, stalled investigations, and an escalation in crime. In the post, Cox says the current Chief's term ends on June 30, and an interim chief will be appointed. He's saying that with the city's first-ever appointed Police Chief, they'll strengthen public safety and work toward long-term solutions that address the root cause of violence.

We're still awaiting an official announcement on when lawmakers will return to the state capitol to iron out a budget, but Rep. Brent Powell told us he's received word from House Speaker Jason White that lawmakers will return on Wednesday morning at 11.

The Senate voted to block California's plan to end the sale of gasoline-only cars by 2035 on May 22. The legislation repealed a waiver issued under former President Joe Biden's administration, which allowed California to set its own clean air standards, higher than those of the federal government. Democrats denounced the federal government overruling an individual state's decision. Meanwhile, Republicans criticized California for the damage they said such a regulation would have on the American auto industry, making the matter a nationwide concern.

Three more inmates who escaped from a New Orleans jail earlier this month were captured Monday. 13 people have been charged with helping the escapees, both inside the jail and once they were at large.
