During the preorders, fans will have the option between the standard edition and the ultimate edition, which is loaded with items you will never receive if you purchase the standard edition. After such a great games showcase, unfortunately, Xbox once again is hit with some heavy setbacks. Financial and strategic pressure has led Xbox down the path of a major corporate reset. This could mean more layoffs as Xbox looks to reduce its labor force in the near future.

WE GOT GAMES BABY!!!!!! After getting hit with multiple showcases, we decided to talk about more games we are excited for! There is no better time than now to be a gamer. The end of 2026 seems to be really crowded with great releases, so what are you looking forward to playing?

Xbox has a lot of work to do if they want to turn things around, and with this showcase, it seems like it's headed in the right direction. Asha seems to be committed to bringing exclusives back to Xbox once the business is healthy. Gears of War E-Day was shown at the showcase, and afterwards, we got an even further look behind the scenes with its own Gears of War direct showcase. This was a very promising look into Xbox's future, but only time will tell if they can become the powerhouse they once were.

It's the summer of showcases, and PlayStation jumps right in with two of its strongest offerings. Sony started off showing one of the most anticipated games of the year, Wolverine! The game looked amazing, but that was just the beginning of a spectacular show because we also got a peek at the next God of War!

After a decade and some change, Bungie is finally pulling the plug on the Destiny IP. Probably one of the few Live Service games that actually did it right. Destiny has given us a decade of content that has had us coming back to the game faithfully with every new release. This isn't to say that everything was all peaches and cream; some content didn't go as well as others, but still, Destiny has solidified itself in gaming history as a game to experience.

The new Resident Evil movie trailer is out, and the tone seems to be a lot scarier this go around. The last few Resident Evil movies leaned more toward the action, but this one seems to focus on the horror. Some folks aren't really sure how to feel about the trailer, but we think this might be the direction the franchise needs to go.

We are back after taking a little break for some good family news! We have been watching the new CEO, Asha Sharma, very closely as she begins to rebrand the Xbox into what she thinks it should be, and with one of Xbox's flagship titles, Gears of War, releasing this year, we are hyped to see how Asha approaches this. It's a lot riding on Marcus Fenix's shoulders, but if anyone can handle the pressure it's him. This game not only has to please its core fans, but it has to make people interested in what Xbox is doing.

Just when we thought it was over, the unthinkable happened again! The price of the PlayStation 5 Pro has gone up, and gamers are not happy about it. Is it because of the chip shortage, or corporate greed? Maybe it's a little bit of both, either way, this is a tough pill for gamers to swallow.

What do you do when you do everything right, but it's still not enough? Battlefield 6 had everything going for it. Good beta testing built up hype, while curiosity from Call of Duty-fatigued fans showed interest in the game, only to abandon it months later. So what happened?
