The supply chain of the future is sustainable and efficient. As decision makers in this chain, shippers (cargo owners) and freight forwarders play a key role.

For a future-proof world, we need to work towards a CO2-neutral society. Making transport and logistics sustainable is an important element in this, but also one of the biggest challenges. The container market will continue to grow in the decades ahead as a result of population growth and the predicted increase in consumption. Rotterdam wants to facilitate this growth and ensure it is sustainable, efficient and data-driven.

The port of Rotterdam is in full transition towards carbon-neutral industry and logistics by 2050. We cannot work towards C02 neutral and efficient supply chains alone. Cooperation between all chain parties throughout the value chain is essential.
