Self-esteem doesn’t start with doing more.
It starts with understanding what is already happening in your mind.
In this episode, I introduce the first of three core tools we use to build self-esteem:
Support Your Mindset
Feel Your Feelings
Remember Who You Are
Today we focus on the first part of supporting your mindset: noticing what you’re thinking.
I call this practice Taking Out the Trash.
It’s simple.
You sit down, ask yourself what’s bothering you, and write it all down.
No editing.
No fixing.
No judging.
Just getting the thoughts out of your head and onto paper.
Many women carry around mental clutter all day long without realizing it. Thoughts spin in the background creating overwhelm, pressure, confusion, and emotional exhaustion.
When you write those thoughts down, something powerful happens. You create space.
You can see what you’ve been carrying.
You can notice how those thoughts make you feel.
And often, simply seeing them on paper removes some of their power.
This is not about being positive.
It’s not about convincing yourself everything is fine.
It’s about creating awareness.
Because when you can see what you’re thinking, you can begin to understand why you’re feeling the way you do.
If this practice feels strange at first, that’s OK.
Many of the women I work with felt the same way when they started. With practice, it becomes one of the most supportive tools for creating emotional calm, reducing overwhelm, and building self-esteem.
The goal this week is simple:
Take out the trash.
Look at your thoughts with curiosity and compassion.
No judgment required.
