Today, Ali Muldrow continues her reproductive justice series with doulas from Cooperativa Raíces para el Cambio/Roots4Change Cooperative to talk about pregnancy, giving birth, and postpartum experiences in the Indigenous and Latina communities.
Matilde Cachiguango is an Indigenous woman from Ecuador who immigrated to the United States in 2001. She is a doula, the owner of Sabiduría Nativa LLC, and a founding member of Roots4Change Cooperative.
Rosalba Montoya grew up in a rural town in Mexico. She is a doula, the owner of Puente Alba LLC, and a founding member of Roots4Change Cooperative.
Mariela Quesada Centeno provides technical and research-driven support to Roots4Change. She holds a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master of Public Health from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Certificate in Global Health.
