In this episode of The Grounded Communicator, I’m joined by the wonderful and magical Jacki Holland for a conversation that I have been wanting to have since starting this podcast—flower essences.
This episode was born from something I see again and again in animal communication sessions: when animals are moving through emotional patterns, transitions, or deeper inner shifts, they so often ask for flower essences. Not as a fix, but as support. As companionship. As something gentle that meets them where they are.
Jacki and I explore flower essences as a relationship with nature, with emotion, and with the subtle layers that animals so intuitively understand. We talk about how flower essences work, why animals are drawn to them, and how flowers essences create harmony rather than force change.
We also share stories of animals choosing their essences, of unexpected transformations, and of the quiet intelligence animals bring to their own healing journeys. From administering essences in ways animals actually enjoy, to choosing ethical, high-quality sources, this conversation is an invitation to soften, listen, and trust nature’s wisdom.
If you’ve ever felt your animal was asking for support that words, training, or traditional supplements couldn’t quite reach—this episode is for you.

About Jacki Holland:
Jacki is an artist, a mother, a horse guardian, and an animist devoted to the unseen. Her practice is an ever-evolving ritual shaped by the wisdom of horses and the subtle, transformative medicine of the natural world. Whether she is crafting talismanic jewelry, creating ritual art objects, preparing flower essences, or guiding equine-supported sessions, her work becomes a dialogue between the physical and the more-than-human realms. Each offering is infused with intentionality, and reverence for the numinous forces that move quietly through our lives.
Horses stand at the center of her work. They are keepers of ancient wisdom and kin, who call us back to embodied presence. In their company, she invites others into coherence and deeper connection with the Divine. Her equine sessions unfold as rituals of listening and reciprocity, supported by ritual and ceremony that help open, and integrate the subtle energetic shifts that arise.
For her, ritual is an act of resistance in a world that often rushes past the sacred. Through creation, she reclaims presence, honors the land, and tends to the delicate threads that bind us to the unseen. Her studio and the pasture alike serve as altar and sanctuary- spaces where Spirit guides her hands and the horses offer their wordless wisdom. Every piece, every essence, every session becomes a vessel of inner knowing and path to becoming that which we know.
Through her offerings, she invites others to step into their own ritual with the more-than-human world, and into the quiet knowing that all beings, seen and unseen, are deeply interconnected.
