Last Sunday, we only made it part of the way through our verses. So this Sunday, we will finish looking at Paul’s instructions to the church about suffering for the gospel. 

As Paul concludes his opening remarks, he directly addresses the elephant in the room: he is writing this letter from jail. How can a man encourage a church to remain hopeful in Christ while he is enduring suffering for Christ? Paul’s teachings had much to share with the church in Colossae, and they hold significant relevance for us today regarding how and why we suffer.
