The Lord made his promise to Abraham. In the fullness of time, he kept it in Jesus. Our Gospel lesson looks back at that covenantal promise and finds that God’s promises never fail. Promises kept: we celebrate with joy how God fulfilled them all.

When we are right in the middle of things we cannot understand why, God calls us to trust.
