This week on China Calling - We're following our host Vlatka on a tour around Beijing, discovering new music, meeting China's first and only surf band, and hearing an interview with the British dubstep and rock band Modestep, who flew into China's capital for the second time within a month, to perform at a new venue in the city.

Modstep's video of the new version of their single "Sunlight" was released on YouTube passing 1 million views within four days, also making the Radio 1 A-list and debuting at number 16 in the UK charts. Their second album, "London Road" took them on another successful world tour. We're hearing about their specific recording process and their thoughts on playing in the mainland.
