I sometimes question whether or not it's possible to keep going and pushing out fresh daily episodes from lessons from surfing. I want to share daily gifts with you from the ocean, but there's this nagging story that pops in my head from time to time telling me that it's not practical nor possible to keep getting lessons from surfing and sharing them because there's only so many to be discovered and shared. A voice telling me that there's not enough. That I'm not enough. That it's just not possible. Yet, here I am. Surfing Lesson 125. Screw that lie! I'm more than enough!

Yes I'm a nut. I surf some of the gnarliest storms here in San Diego on my longboard and people watch from the cliffs in awe. And they love watching me jump off the cliffs into the ocean after my surfboard. And they love watching me come out of the ocean in dangerous conditions against the cliffs. It is attention I have earned.

Sure, it may look a little and be different than other surfers. It sure works well with this wetsuit though!

Don't cut corners. You deserve better! And so does everyone else!

There really are some amazing reasons as a excuses out there. But the ocean doesn't give a rat's butt. Neither do does your family nor anyone else.

I'm proud of my surfing. But that hasn't always been the case. And has definitely not been the case for all my habits And practices throughout my life.

You and I can easily drift into a false sense of reality where we live in our mind maps of past experiences/reality. We must become aware (or life will wake is up) and re-assess our realities.

Clean water is amazing to surf, and dirty, muddy water leaves a nasty taste in the surfing experience (and sometimes your mouth). Good news is, you can choose to create a "clean water" environment in your life!
