On this Freedom Friday, Karl and Crew concluded the weekly theme of sober-mindedness with a discussion on surrendering. When we surrender to Jesus, we are freed from the bondage of sin because He takes the burden from us. We discuss this in reference to Matthew 11:28-30 and John 3:16. Are you still carrying the weight of sin, or have you surrendered it to Him? One of our special guests, Gina Cavallo, shared her surrender to Christ after enduring years of physical and sexual abuse by human traffickers. Now, she’s the founder and director of the survivor-led nonprofit Paying it Forward Foundation, also known as We RISE USA. She also authored the book "A Survivor’s Secret". We also had the Vice President of Student Life and Enrollment at Moody Bible Institute (MBI), Dr. William Washington. He shared how MBI equips students to receive and share the truth of the Gospel.
