God has been opening me up and showing me some truth about how I have been living.  It's not pretty.  I have been shown some pretty dark truths.  Recently, I have been realizing I have spent most of my Christian life living in fear.  Are you living in fear also? The Bible tells us to live by faith. I told myself I was living by faith. Are you serving at your home but feeling like your wife and kids aren't following you?  As men who are called to serve and lead this can be frustrated because you feel as though you are doing all the right things.  You work to provide. Are you worthless or just currently worth less than your potential? A lot of men struggle with three problems that hold them back and keep them in bondage. Should Christian Men listen to worship music? Most will be quick to say this is ludicious. However, our churches are teaching men to imitate the a nice, weak, mild Jesus instead of the strong, courageous and cunning Jesus.  Men are being taught told and educated on how to be passive, nice Christian men.  I know this because I am recovering "Christian Nice Guy" as described by Paul Coughlin in his book "No More Christian Nice Guy." Am I suggesting men should never listen to worship music? Worry, anxiety and stress are brought on from a lot of factors.    How do we replace them?   With Hope, Faith, Trust AND Letting go of our expectations.    When we have expectations, we find ourselves worrying, anxious and stressing.   This is where I have found myself over the past year.    Suffering from expectations in my health, wealth, marriage and even my purpose.    God has been continuing to show me how I need to let go and surrender my expectations.    Trusting in His plans and His outcome in every area of my life.

Living a life of Surrender isn't about faith. In fact my journey of a Surrendered life started years before my faith journey. Surrendering is simply letting go of what we have to get what we want. This is lived out in our health, wealth, relationships and purpose. The question becomes, what are you surrendering to? Whether you are aware or not, you surrendered to improving or declining health, wealth, relationships and purpose everyday. Now, it is through Christianity where we see the ultimate example of surrendering what one has to get something better, Jesus Christ is that example.
