We talk about the different kinds of apocalypses and the ones that may or may not keep us up at night. Also part of the discussion is what to do in the event doomsday happens and our opinions on those who may take apocalypse planning a bit too far.

It’s a big topic with a diversity of modes and genres (and pronunciations) but we’re going to do our best to try and tackle them. Today we’ll be talking about vacations on Survival of Us, hopefully this is one that isn’t too controversial. How do you define a vacation and what purpose does it serve? The topic shouldn’t be controversial but not everyone sees it the same way and that’s probably the purpose of vacation, doing something that helps you rest. Whether it’s going some place new or just being able to sleep in, join us on this discussion to help us survive!

In this episode we talk about the weighty topic of addictions, along with a dense block of its definition and how we’ve related to it in our lives. Along the way we talk about what we are addicted to, what helps us cope and some of the more usual suspects that have never appealed to us. We also talk about old habits and coping mechanisms we’ve learned to live with or even beat. This is a sensitive topic so listener discretion is advised.

Social media, it’s everywhere, taking your attention and is a major player of modern survival whether we like it or not. In this episode we’ll be talking about what social media platforms we use, our histories with them, their unexpected pitfalls and how we feel about it. Old and unexpected history gets dredged up as well. (Myspace, anyone?) There are a lot of social media platforms and for each one of them there’s a plethora of opinions. We'll be talking about our favorite caffeinated drinks, journey that led us to them and what would happen without the morning rituals that keep us sane.
