At 21, he left his family behind in Nigeria searching for opportunities in the west. But it was not without a journey through the Sahara desert of Africa, Algeria, Morocco, Spain, then to America. He said," I am either all in or not in at all, I'll rather die pursuing my dreams or fold my arms and let life happen to me."

His philosophy in life is- If you have not done everything to be helped then you do not deserve to be helped.

He gives a detailed account of how he went from being a shy sixteen-year-old high schooler to being wrongfully convicted for the murder and rape of one of his fellow high school students.

While in his 16th year of a 15 to life sentence for murder and rape which he did not commit and 7 failed appeals. The advancement of DNA testing helps with identifying the actual perpetrator, which leads to his exoneration.

Claire Chew is a grief coach that has also experience her own grief over the years. At the age of 8, she found herself leaving everything she knew behind to migrate to a new country. Fast forward to her new life came with many obstacles, stress, and trauma that all added to her mother committing suicide at the age of 76. Facing tragedy she once again pulls herself up and seeks to heal through finding herself, and she's now using her experience and skills as a grief coach to help others built micro habits like- writing to overcome and process grief.

Domestic violence against women is a widespread universal issue. Our guest will be discussing her personal experience as an African woman living in Africa. Violence against women goes beyond beatings.
