Have you ever looked back on something from your past and realized it wasn't normal at all? In this episode of Surviving and Chilling with Debbie, I talk about some of the things I thought were normal because of childhood and adult trauma. From walking on eggshells to feeling responsible for everyone else's feelings, I'll share some of the beliefs and behaviors that trauma convinced me were just a part of everyday life.
After that, we'll switch gears and do a little chilling as I share my thoughts on Project Hail Mary.

In this episode of Surviving and Chilling with Debbie, I'm talking about the power of the word "no" and why we don't owe anyone an explanation for our boundaries. I'll share some thoughts on respecting ourselves, protecting our peace, and recognizing when someone isn't willing to respect our limits.
As always, this is an unscripted and honest conversation from my perspective as a survivor. Whether we're talking about trauma, healing, relationships, or everyday life, my hope is that you'll leave knowing you are not alone and that your feelings, boundaries, and experiences matter.
So grab a drink, get comfortable, and let's talk about why no is a complete sentence.

In this unscripted episode, we bounce between casual travel chats and a major life lesson on protecting your peace. I open up about a recent relationship that lasted just five days, and explain why I ended it when a potential significant other refused to respect my boundaries regarding my past.

Welcome to the first episode! Today, I’m introducing myself, why I started this podcast, and a bit about my past experiences with child and adult abuse to help others feel less alone. I also explain the balance of the show: we will go deep, but we will also just chill and chat about everyday things like movies, TV shows, trips, and funny occurrences. I am so glad you're here for the journey!
