Ideal world: you come back from vacation rested, recharged, and ready to take on the work week. You pre-planned, your to-do list was to-done before you left, and you're at inbox zero.
Reality: you haven't had a routine in weeks, every project you put off from before your break is due, everyone is circling back, and your inbox is out of control. Oh yeah, and your to-do list? Miles long.
In today's episode, we're chatting about how to have a successful first week back at work after a break, and how to cope with the feeling of having so much to do that you don't know where to start. We discuss task management and how to motivate yourself, techniques to quiet your mind so that you can be effective, and why buying a new planner probably won't solve all your anxieties.
We also talk about why experiencing task paralysis doesn't automatically mean you have ADHD, fear mongering on the internet, and why we need to speak kindly to ourselves.
