- How To Beat The System w/David MitchellJoining me again today is David Mitchell, who has beaten not one, not two...but 3 felonies in the last 12 months! I can only imagine the level of frustration that the system is experiencing right now as they watch all their efforts fail. Not only did David beat the system, he is gaining national attention and preparing to take them to court and fight back. I absolutely love this story. - Prison - A Love Story w/VicoI spent a lot of time talking about the chaos and destruction that the system creates all around us. However, just as a rose can grow from concrete, oftentimes that same chaos brings about beauty. Tonight, I bring on my friend Vico to talk about his experience in prison, where he met the love of his life. You heard me right - in prison. - Bullied Behind Bars w/Matthew MelvinMatthew Melvin is the first time author of the book "Bullied Behind Bars: A Gay Christian Trump Supporter Goes to Prison." If that title doesn't at least catch your attention, then I don't know what would! This book is Matthew's attempt to get his story out to people that may otherwise never hear it. He was incarcerated twice - from 2004 to 2005, and then from 2017-2018. Unfortunately, during his time inside prison, he faced bullying, harassment, and more. This is his story.Contact Matthew:www.bulliedbehindbars.comContact Dave:www.survivingthesystem.orgwww.facebook.com/survivingthesystemwww.twitter.com/STSthePodcast1 hr

About Surviving The System
From the publisher's feed
Surviving The System is a podcast created to shed light on the hypocrisy and injustice of “the system” in our nation today. I founded this podcast after first hand experience of how the system works -…
the shady tactics by law enforcement, the blatant disregard for the law by the legal system, the ever increasing attempts to crush the human spirit by the prison industrial complex and so called “re-entry” efforts. All of it appearing to be designed to keep people beat down, with no opportunity to learn and grow from their past mistakes. Since my experience with the system, I’ve learned that things are almost never cut and dry, right or wrong. So called “criminals” are some of the most compassionate, talented and intelligent individuals this world has to offer. On the flip side, there are some people who appear to lead the perfect life are all too often miserable human beings who are simply better at hiding their crimes from the rest of the world. My goal by starting Surviving The System is to reach as many people as possible who have been through the system, or are currently going through the system, and remind them that they are not defined by their worst mistake! You are a being of incredible power who has been conditioned by the system to forget. You can have the life you want, you can be the person you’ve always wanted to be. Throw off the shackles and remember who you are!
