When a doctor says, “You have cancer,” the world seems to turn upside down. Worry immediately sets in. One may find themselves overwhelmed by questions like:

Will I need surgery? Will I need chemotherapy? Will I lose my hair? Will radiation hurt or burn? Will I still be able to work during treatment?

Will I be able to take care of myself and my family?

Fighting cancer might be the toughest experience one ever goes through. As someone with a diagnosis, it could be difficult to relay one's feelings to people who’ve never been through it.  In this episode, a thyroid cancer survivor shares her experiences to spread hope and positivity.

Inspired by the common expression "every dark cloud has a silver lining" means that even the worst events or situations can bring some good and positivity to our world, she has authored the book 'Silver Linings'  where she has shared her cancer journey and hopes that the book will be a comforting companion to both folks facing a new diagnosis and the people who surround and love them.
