For me, singing is a form of expressing emotions; anger, pain, love, happiness, and madness. It gives hope and allows us to dream. I do believe that every song is written by someone who expresses their emotions, treasured moments, and immense lessons in life. And yes, through singing you can touch lives, heal broken spirits, inspire, give hope, express yourself, and of course, have fun in the process.
For the fifth episode of Straight From The Heart Season 1, I am happy to bring to you my dear friend - Lakshmi Chandrika - Founder of swarasahiti, a small Digital platform for female kitchen bound lyricist and singers.
Out of passion for singing and lyrics, she started writing lyrics at the age of 10 and now written almost 100 songs. Sang 52 records on youtube.
Tune in to hear her musical journey and get inspired.
A special segment dedicated to fathers on this father's day!

Writing paints the story of our lives, so others can understand who we are, what we stand for, and how much we have grown.
Writing can make a story so real to us that it leaves us in a trance for a while and the thought of the underlying meaning of what we have read circumflexes back on our individual lives.
For the very first episode of Straight From The Heart Season 1, I am happy to bring to you a very close friend, avid blogger, and author - Prasanna Krishnan aka PK. Tune in to hear his beautiful world of writing and get inspired.
