As we end our study of this wonderful epistle, Paul will write of four final things. He has a final greeting, a final admonition, a final warning and a final prayer request.

In this lesson, we will consider the second listing of men who helped Paul. We might call them “hidden heroes of the faith”. Too often we come to their names in Scripture and gloss over them because we deem them as unessential, but my friend they are not.

Without Paul’s partners in ministry, the work would not succeed as it did, and Paul knew that. Paul mentions 8 individuals who helped him; Real people with real character qualities that God divinely gave them for His glory, and to be partners in ministry with Paul.

The Christian world is failing when it comes to sharing the gospel. We must get back to fulfilling the great commission that Christ left us to do. With that in mind, Paul will write as to how we pray for the lost, speak to the lost, and reach the lost.
