Henry is walking down his street on his way home when the police stop him. It seems that a murderer has been hiding out in the boarding house next to their apartment and the police have the whole area surrounded. Henry goes to phone his wife and son Johnny to tell them why he is late home and to tell them to stay safe at home but something in her voice worries him. He fears that the murderer Roy Jelescoe may be in their apartment.
