At this time of year, we turn our minds to giving thanks to God for many things. One thing that we should especially be thankful for is the sound doctrine that He has given through His Word. Without the immoveable doctrines of God's Word, we would be in a state most miserable.

The believer needs not to be blown about by their emotions or their imaginations because they have an Anchor that is sure and steadfast. The Anchor, Jesus Christ, has never failed, nor will he ever fail. Because of this sureness, the believer can stand steadfast on the Word of God and not move from it.

Because of Christ's entrance into the veil, we have a great and sure hope. As a result, we have a choice to either rest obediently in this hope or to reject it to live according to our flesh. Will we let our anchor hold?

There is a definite connection between prayer and revival. This is evident in the several revivals that have occurred in the history of the United States from the early 1700s to the present.

How does a pastor stay clean in a dirty world? The devil is leveling all of his attacks at the man of God who is seeking to work for the Lord. Therefore, the man of God must diligently study and obey the Word of God and constantly resist the devil and his many wiles.
